Welcome to Sidewalk Singers Austin!

Serafia and her partner Dan Kattan both grew up in Austin, Texas. They moved to LA shortly before the Covid-19 lockdown. At the start of the lockdown Serafia and Dan found themselves with no work and all future gigs cancelled. They came up with the idea of reviving the age-old art of singing telegrams for their community. Creating a way for people to celebrate and have fun in a memorable way, and a way for them to perform from a safe social distance! They wanted to take it a step further and donate a portion of booking costs back into local charities in our area. Sidewalk Singers is a unique birthday gift, anniversary gift, random fun gift and even a last minute gift!

This idea really took off! So Serafia and Dan decided to get their musician friends in Austin involved with Sidewalk Singers and start a separate ATX branch! Between their LA and Austin locations, they've been able to donate $7000, as well as entertain many people on their special day despite Covid-19! We will also be donating a portion of booking costs back to local Austin Non-Profit Organization, Capitol View Arts (Details Below) Our goal is to spread JOY and HOPE through the power of music, support the Austin music scene, and support the community through 2023 and beyond!

Capitol View Arts is focused on engaging the Austin community through fundraisers, back to school events and artistic opportunities. Capitol View Arts curates artist showcases and exhibitions to raise the equity and exposure of local talents in the city and beyond. Founder Serafia, got her musical start with them!
